Hazard Perception And Theory Test

All new drivers have to pass a Hazard Perception and Theory Test before they are allowed to book a Practical Driving Test.

The Test now consists of two sections :-

                 1. Hazard Perception –  consisting of 14 video clips with a total of 15 major hazards to spot (one clip has two hazards). Each hazard carries a possible score of 5 marks giving a total of 75 marks. To pass you must score 44 or more.             

       2.   Theory Test – consisting of 50 multiple choice questions. To pass you must score 43 or more.

 

Free assistance is offered to all pupils taking driving lessons. A variety of books, videos and C.D.'s are available and advice is given about how to study.
